Esikidz AI Powered Assistant

The Problem
The current challenge lies in the substantial time teachers dedicate to report writing and activity documentation. This task-intensive process hinders their ability to focus on more impactful classroom interactions and educational planning. Moreover, the persistence of grammar errors in content shared with parents is a recurring concern. These errors not only compromise the clarity of communication but also reflect negatively on the center's overall image.
The implications are twofold: poor content quality not only erodes the daycare center's reputation but also fosters doubt among parents regarding the professionalism of the teachers. Addressing these issues is crucial to ensuring efficient time management for educators and upholding the centre's credibility within the parent community.
Introduction of AI Powered Assistant
Embedded within the app, specifically designed to assist daycare centre educators.
One of its key functions is to support educators in writing reports, ensuring professionalism and accuracy. With its grammar-checking capabilities, the assistant helps educators detect and correct grammar mistakes, ensuring polished and error-free reports. Additionally, the AI-powered assistant offers suggestions to improve phrasing, helping educators express themselves effectively and eloquently. Its friendly and soft tone creates a positive and encouraging writing environment, empowering educators to confidently produce high-quality reports. This innovative feature aims to enhance the overall reporting process and elevate the professionalism of daycare center educators.

AI Polisher - Help Teacher to Write Better Content
I've incorporated a button into all text input areas that aids in enhancing content quality by addressing grammar, phrasing, and tone. Additionally, I've introduced our custom AI robot character to elevate the user experience.(See AI Feature in Esikidz Admin)

- By tapping the AI Polisher button, content can be effortlessly refined.
- I've taken inspiration from the letter 'e' to represent 'Esikidz' and designed a robot character to serve as the Esikidz AI Assistant.

Challenges
We successfully implemented the feature by utilizing the OpenAI API, but encountered certain challenges during the testing phase. Our primary goal for the AI Polisher was to enhance the content while preserving its original meaning. However, we encountered instances where the AI's creativity led to the addition of extra content, occasionally altering the intended meaning of the original text.
Tests and Alternation
I collaborated closely with the developers, dedicating an entire week to rigorously test the functionality. Additionally, I conducted meetings involving 20 teachers from our test centre. During these sessions, we collectively evaluated the feature by inputting diverse types of content.
AI Powered Assistant Subscription - Esikidz Admin
- To implement this feature within the Esikidz Teacher App, I've integrated an AI subscription module. This module empowers centre administrators to effectively manage the functionality.

Haven't Subscribed Yet
I've integrated an AI Module into the dashboard, and based on feedback from various centres, I've introduced a 'Subscribe' button. This addition serves to distinctly indicate the status of the AI Module.

To facilitate promotion and provide users with a quick understanding without requiring them to access the model, I've devised a pop-out window that offers a concise explanation of the feature.

Upon entering the module, I've organized four sections to provide comprehensive explanations of the feature's key points. Additionally, the plan's cost is automatically calculated, taking into consideration the centre's capacity.
After Releasing the Feature
After thorough testing and considering input from our existing users, we're thrilled to announce that the function is operating successfully. A remarkable 90% of users expressed satisfaction with the feature, deeming it an essential and valuable tool for their needs.
Future Advancements
Our stakeholders are now contemplating enhancing the feature's capabilities. Specifically, they are exploring the idea of allowing users to input just a few words separated by commas, which would then be transformed into complete paragraphs. However, it's important to note that this approach could introduce uncertainty in terms of maintaining the intended content meaning. This might pose issues if teachers start relying heavily on the system and inadvertently overlook the content's accuracy.
